Women’s Group To Meet May 3

Women of the Western Communities will meet Thursday, May 3 at the Wanderers Club in Wellington. Come early and enjoy a cocktail. Happy hour starts at 6 p.m. All attendees should be checked-in and seated by 6:30 p.m.
The monthly donation for Harmony House is new or gently used purses. The group is also collecting items the children can give their mothers on Mother’s Day. Lipsticks, perfumes, makeup, jewelry or small trinkets would be wonderful gifts. All of the women at Harmony House will be appreciative of the gifts they receive.

The Women of the Western Communities presented its “Fun, Fabulous & 40” spring brunch, fashion show and auction on Sunday, April 8 at the Wanderers Club in Wellington. Emcees were Sally Sevareid and Mo Foster from KOOL 105.5. Fashions and accessories were provided by Dress Barn. Hair stylists from Edmund James, Linda Harder and Chelsea Paino, and makeup by Chelsea Tomsik, helped the models to be runway ready. Funds raised went to the group’s scholarship fund. The Women of the Western Communities will hold its annual spring fundraiser on Sunday, April 8 at 11 a.m. at the Wanderers Club in Wellington.
The event will be a brunch and fashion show sponsored by Dressbarn. it will include both silent and ticket auctions. The special guest emcees will be Mo and Sally from KOOL 105.5 FM, while Leslie Gray Streeter will be a special guest model. Tickets are $50 per person, and reservations are required. Women’s Group Learns About ‘Train The Brain’


The Women of the Western Communities gathered for its monthly meeting on Thursday, March 1 at the Wanderers Club in Wellington. Jessica and Jill Merrell from Ultima Fitness talked about the Merrell Family Foundation, which has partnered with the Palm Healthcare Foundation to form the “Train the Brain” initiative. Women of the Western Communities will meet Thursday, March 1 at the Wanderers Club. Happy hour starts at 6 p.m. with dinner and the program to follow. The guest fee is $30.
The speaker for the evening will be Jill Merrell, owner of Ultima Fitness in Wellington. Merrell will speak about positive mental health and “training your brain” for a happier, more productive life. The donation for Harmony House will be health and beauty aids, such as feminine products, Band-Aids, over-the-counter pain relievers, hair products, children’s cold medicines and more.
The group’s annual fundraiser, auction and brunch, “Fun, Fabulous and 40!” will be held Sunday, April 8 at 11 a.m. at the Wanderers Club. This event will feature apparel from DressBarn with special guest emcees Mo and Sally from KOOL 105 FM. Tickets are $50 and include brunch, the fashion show and auctions. Women of the Western Communities met Thursday, Feb. 1 at the Wanderers Club in Wellington. The itinerary included Valentine’s Day activities. Maureen Budjinski, a volunteer with the Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency at the University of Miami, spoke about the importance of organ donation.
